Live the dream work from home is something that many of us aspire to but it may not be as easy as you may have first thought. So how do you go about bringing that dream into reality?

First you have to ask yourself how you could work from home.  Maybe your present job is something you could do from home via the internet without you having to lose your main source of income.

Secondly you need to be really truthful and ask yourself if you have the self disciplin to make sure you do work whilst you are at home. There are far more distractions at home than at the office.

It is very easy to convince yourself that you will do the work later on in the day rather than doing it straight away. If you do have an accommodating employer that allows you to work from home all well and good, but if you don’t what then?

Well do you have skills you can use to work for yourself as  self employed. It may not be working from home but working fro yourself is far better than working for someone else.

The downside of being self employed is that you only earn money when there is someone employing your skills from you. You also have to become a book keeper, an advertising specialist and your own secretary.

The last option is one that many people are turning too, the internet. Can you build an internet business and work from home. Well yes you can but there are some real truths you have to be aware of.

Running an internet business is like any other business it takes hard work and long hours before you start to make any money from it. You will probably not earn enough to pay the mortgage, the bills and support your family for many months.

If on the other hand you have just been made redundant, unemployed or you have retired then building an internet business may well be the answer. Some people do get rich from internet businesses, but there are many more people making substantial monthly incomes from the internet.

It Is worth doing if you think you can do it, but as mentioned before it takes hard work and long hours and sometimes many months before you will see any returns for your efforts.
