If you have ever taken part in an ad swap I am sure that you have had to promise your ad swap partner a certain number of clicks.

Why all of a sudden is everyone hooked on how many clicks you can send them or how many clicks they can send you? The truth is clicks mean NOTHING!

I am not interested if someone can send me 1,00o clicks, what I am interested in, is how many of those clicks will optin to me list. If you try to tie someone down on giving you an average optin rate they will tell you that this will depend on your offer and your squeeze page.

To have a good optin rate you have to test and tweak your squeeze page over and over again, but once you have a average optin rate for your squeeze page only then can you start to question people about their click rate to optin ratio.

All that click rates give you is an estimate of how many people you can expect to click on your offer and take a look at your squeeze page.

So what’s the answer?

Instead of doing ad swaps you should be concentrating on buying solo ads. Solo  ads is where you pay someone to send your email to their list. They will still give you a price based on the number of clicks they send you, but the big difference here is that you can check with other marketers how good the optin rate is.

Most people selling solo ads will have testimonials from other people who have purchased solo ads from them. Therefore you are in a better position to not only get a better optin rate then doing ad swaps, but if you know what you are doing you can cover the cost of the solo ad purchase via OTO’s and product offers to the new subscribers you get from buying a solo ad.

The problem with video marketing using Youtube is that many marketers are still restricitng themselves to using Youtube. Marketing online takes many forms, but one thing should be clear to anyone that is marketing anything online, Video Sells! And the reason is simple why video marketing does so well.

Video allows you to show potential customers how good your product, item or offer is. You get the chance to show people your products doing what they promise to do. So if you are not using video to help market your products you are missing a huge part of the sales funnel.

When we think about or talk about video marketing we usually link that to Youtube, and this is no surprise as Youtube is the number one video sharing site on the internet. There is however a major problem with video marketing using Youtube to market your products online.

The problem is that most marketers forget or fail to consider that there are a number of other video sharing sites on the internet that can be used as an outlet for their sales videos, other than Youtube. Marketers who fail to list their sales videos on other video sharing sites are holding back sellers from buying their goods or products.

Vimeo for example allows you to do a lot of things that you can do with Youtube, and you can use any type of video format to upload your videos to the site.

Metacafe is another of the video sharing sites that you can utilise to reach more customers, and don’t forget Dailymotion as another option.

These are just a very small selection of the large number of video sharing sites that you can use to help you make more money online, but they are not just for selling your own products as they can be utilised for making affiliate sales and using CPA offers.

Fiverr.com still has a huge potential for people to easy earn some money online. In fact I would go as far as saying that Fiverr is possibly the easiest way to make money online if you do it right.

One of the many tricks I have shared in my weekly newsletters to my subscribers is that the quicker you can complete your gig on fiverr the more money you can make, and this is where PLR products and Fiverr can be linked together and allow you to make some of the easiest money you are ever likely to make.

At http://fiverr.com/ people advertise all kinds of tasks they are willing to do for $5, and the task can be from singing a song about your product or company, SEO work and even wacky things like people offering to become your girlfriend or boyfriend on Facebook for a month!

The possibilities are endless of what you can offer to do for other people for $5. You may have Photoshop skills or artistic skills you can use to make money on fiverr. Maybe you have professional skills such as being able to give mortgage or insurance advice that normally would cost people a lot more than $5 to get.

At 200 years old auld lang syne is a survivor and it survives because the words are as relevant today as they were when they were first penned over 200 years ago. I am sure that you are wondering where I am going with this, and what does this have to do with internet marketing.

The point is that to survive you have to be relevant and stick to what works. What you will find is that the most successful marketers are not doing anything ground breaking, they have not invented a brand new way to make money, or created a whole new sub branch of marketing. All they have done is built on what works and continues to work.

But the most important word of all is “WORK” the difference is that most successful marketers work at what they do, and if you want to be successful you are going to have to bite the bullet and get down to some work.

I watched a webinar recently by Jo Barnes who some refer to as “The Queen of Facebook” and Jo said that the single most important sentence for success is

Consistent, Focused, Action

And she was dead right, as success in what you are trying to achieve is as simple as that. So lets take a look at this sentence in a bit more detail.

Consistent: Keep doing what is working for you. If you find something that earns you $10 keep plugging away at it and it will soon be earning you $100. Being consistent also goes hand in hand with checking.

You need to be monitoring your results daily. So each day you need to check how many people are visiting your website, blog or squeeze page. You need to be consistent in trying to achieve more traffic each day. Brain storm and think about ways you can drive just 10 extra visitors to your website or blog each day.

You also need to know how many people you are converting, whether you see the conversion as a sale or an optin to your email list you need to be consistent in increasing the conversion rate.

Focused: Being focused means concentrating on one thing. This is especially true if you are not making much money online. Focus on one thing at a time, if you have 3 websites put 2 on hold and focus on the one that you have faith in, or if you prefer the one that is already bringing in some money. Focus on making more money from that one website. Stop jumping from one shiny object to another and focus on one thing.

I know the golden rule seems to be that you need many different streams of income, but you need one to to start with, and it is that one, that you need to concentrate on.

Action: At last on to one of my favourite words “Action” you have to take action to make things happen. You can be very focused, and focuse

on one thing, and be very consistent about being focused, but if you do not take action each day you will fail!

I want to tell you a true story, and I am not going to apologise if you have heard this story from me before, because just like auld lang syne it is as relevant today as it was when I first told you about it.

In 2009 there were 2 guys, they did not know each other and they had never met, but they both paid a large amount of money to attend a marketing seminar. We are talking thousands of dollars just to attend this one day event. The remarkable thing is that both these guys attended the same seminar within weeks of each other.

The first guy sat through the seminar and took what he was shown and the next day he took action. He started to apply what he had been shown by the person holding the expensive seminar.

The second guy attend the seminar and just like the first guy he sat here and listened to everything that was being said. The next day after the second guy had thought about what he had learned at the seminar he decided that what he had been shown was outdated and would not work so he did nothing with it.

Now we fast forward 12 months to 2010. The second guy had now signed up for an online  marketing course  being run by the the first guy! A few month later the first guy retired from online marketing with over a million dollars in his bank account, and the second guy?

The second guy was true to form, as he gave up on the online marketing course and is still working 40+ hours per week for someone else.

How do I know this story? Because I met both of them and I used to chat regularly to the second guy as he signed up for my emails as well, and no before you jump to conclusions I had nothing to do with running any high price seminars at all.

The main point of this story is that you need to take action to be successful. So for 2012 just remember

Consistent, focused, action

It is nearly that time again where we take a look back at the last 12 months and see how far we have come or even how far we haven’t come! Personaly I prefer to look to the future and make plans for the coming year to survive 2012

One thing I do want to do is help to take you on a journey in the new year so that you not only survive 2012 but hopefully make 2012 a turning point for you as a marketer. I want to help as many people as possible to find a way to make money online in 2012.

I am not about to announce some super duper survive 2012 coaching program or some exclusive high price product called survive 2012 that you need to purchase to be on that journey with me.

So how am I going to deliver this?

Simple really, there will be different posts on different pages of this very website as well as updates and more information in my newsletters to my subscribers.

This Home Easy Earn website is about to change each week there will be a new post showing details of how to make money online. There will also be a newsletter sent out to all subscribers with extra information and tips.

Here at Home Easy Earn there is going to be regular reviews of certain products that have been released each week, but it will be a warts and all review so if the product is rubbish I will tell you it is.

I am also going to introduce the ” Home Easy Earn How To Page” this will carry regular tips and instruction how to do certain things to do with all things internet marketing. These could be text or video and it could one, two, three or even more “how to” lessons and instructions each month. These will also be followed up at times with extra newsletters to give even more advice on the lesson posted.

You could say that Home Easy Earn is going to become a how to / review / help website. Everything under one roof for you to access as you wish.

The real truth is though that now I have automated certain key areas of my business I have more time to concentrate on the important things, such as making more money! and of course spending more time with my family or doing the things I want to do.

Lets not forget that one of the main reasons why many people want to earn money online is to be their own boss, work less hours, and to have more time to enjoy life. The truth is though that many people running their own online business end up working 12 – 18 hours per day, 7 days per week! and usually for not much more than they could be earning in a real job working just 40 hours per week.

So how can you automate your business, especially if you are not making much money?

Fiverr.com : I am sure you have heard or even visited fiverr.com. Paying someone just $5 to write a couple of articles or to do some backlinking for you will save you time. This is a great way to take the first steps to outsourcing your daily tasks.

Forums: Forums such as Honest Work From Home have sections on the forum where you can hire other members to do work for you, and they are less likely to do a bad job for you. A good tip for getting work done for you for free, is to approach someone that offers a service and ask if they are willing to do the work for free in return for you doing something for them.

Now I know it may seem by offering to trade services that you are not automating your business, but imagine getting a job done for you that you hate doing, in return for you doing a job that you like doing.

Software: I am sure you have used services such as onlywire to bookmark your websites or blogs, but how about investing in something like Book Marking Demon (BMD). BMD maybe a big investment but unlike onlywire there are thousands of bookmarking sites that you can ad to BMD. Can you imagine at the push of a button getting thousands of backlinks and visitors!

Another great piece of software that I sware by is Magic Submitter, it is a monthly charge but it is worth every penny. Magic Submitter allows you to post to hundreds of article sites, video sites, press release sites, blogs, and it even allows you to create forum accounts in thousands of forums in minutes.

Easy money whilst working from home? Does it exist?

Well, yes it does, and it’s very easy to get your hands on it as well.

Due to the worldwide economic crisis, we are all looking to make some extra money somehow. This may be due to increased mortgage or rent charges, or you may have had your overtime hours taken away, or the worst thing of all, you could have just been made redundant.

If you are struggling financially there are 3 easy ways to earn some extra income, and the best part of it is that anyone can do it. Students, mums at home, in fact anyone. All you need is a computer and an Internet connection. I can guarantee that you could earn at least $240 per month. How am I so sure about that? I earned $180 in 3 weeks, and the third week I was not really doing as much as I could have to increase the amount I could have earned.

The first 14 days I was working on this technique for roughly 3 – 4 hours per day. So as you can see it is not hard work. Also you are working from the comfort of your own home.

So how do you go about getting this easy money?.

The way I was making this money was by visiting a cash back site, completing surveys and completing reviews on line.

For those of you that have not heard of cash back sites, basically they are sites that you register with, and on their sites they have many links to retailers and other companies. If you log in to the cash back site and then click on one of the companies listed on the site, and then you purchase an item from that retailer you will actually get a certain percentage back off the purchase price.

The cash back site earns commission from the retailers on the site every time someone from the cash back site purchases an item. The cash back site then gives 100% of the commission paid back to the customer. If you think of the cash back site as a shopping centre or mall and inside the shopping centre there are lots of different stores. Then imagine a doorman sends you to different stores and he gets paid a commission from the store for directing customers to them, and when you leave the shopping centre the doorman hands his commission to you.

The really good thing about cash back sites is that they have a section where you are able to click on links to another site and get paid for clicking on them. They pay from $0.01 cent up to $0.80 per visit on each site. Now I know this does not seem like a lot of money but when you realise they can have from 10 – 50 links to click on, and some links you can click on up to 5 times, then this soon adds up.

At the moment we are talking about just one cash back site. Now multiply that by 10 – 15 times, because there are loads of cash back sites out there and you can join as many as you like. You have to remember you are doing this every day and that each site has its own links to other sites, and it does not matter if you have visited the same site with another cash back site, you will end up getting paid again. The added bonus to cash back sites is that some will pay you $8 just to register with them.

The 2nd way to make easy money is to sign up for surveys sites and get paid for completing different surveys. The survey sites will pay you anywhere from $0.16 up to $25 per survey. There are good and bad survey sites out there and I must admit I learned about the good ones through trial and error.

The 3rd easy way to earn money on the Internet is by completing reviews on line for sites such as ciao and dooyoo. On dooyoo you will be paid $0.82 per review you do. Also when other people visit the site and mark your review as being very useful you will then earn even more money. Once you have done a review it can go on earning you a small amount of money all the time people keep rating it as being very useful.

The clever part of doing reviews is if you post one on dooyoo, you can then paste and copy it to ciao, as long as you put a disclaimer on the end of the one on ciao, stating it also appears on dooyoo. So you earn twice for one review. There are certain criteria you have to meet when completing reviews but these are very easily learned, and there is lots of free advice on the review sites to help you.

What I forgot to mention is that with both the cash back sites, and the survey sites is, you can sign up for most of them regardless of which country you reside in. Once you start doing all 3 of these things the money will soon start to mount up. With both cash back sites and the survey sites, in most cases you will have to earn a certain amount of money before they pay you, but some are as low as just $1.60.

The one thing that came from this, is that I realised how easy it is to forget to do the simple tasks each day of something that is so important to any marketer, driving traffic. My first thought was how to increase traffic and fast.

Here is what I started with, this post. That’s right I made a simple post and put it on to my site.  Then all I done was took the url of the actual post and used Social Monkee to send my post off to social network sites.

If the post you are putting on your blog contains some good marketing tips or strategy you can create a PDF from your post and submit it to PDF hosting sites. There are several ways you can create traffic from one post to your site or blog.

I now have set up a rota to follow for the first 2 – 3 hours of each day when I am working, and the first hour is concentrating on traffic generation for my sites and products.

Traffic generation is not hard and does not have to cost you anything. Doing simple techniques can pull you in loads of traffic. The following is a list of simple things you can do each day to generate free but highly targeted site traffic.

Write and post one article to ezinearticles

Take one of your articles that is already live on ezinearticles and turn it into a slide show using Powerpoint. Post your slide show onto one of the many slide show sites such as  slideshare

Use Camtasia or the free to download camstudio and create a short video from your slide show and post that on Youtube.

So just an hour or two of work and you will not only have an article on ezinearticles, but a video on Youtube, and a slide show on slideshare. Now do that for 5 days a week for a month and you will then have 20+ articles, 20+ slide shows and 20+ Youtube videos all driving traffic to your site.

The easiest way to make sure you achieve this each day is to make it the first thing you do, and don’t move on to anything else, or even have a coffee break until it is completed. You will soon start to see the results from doing this, I know I am.
