How I Got Started Earning Money Online

I must admit i would never of thought of detailing how i started to earn money online if someone had not mentioned doing it. To do this correctly i need to explain a little about myself to you. Up until march 2006 i was working in a call centre taking calls from customers who wanted to renew their car, home or travel insurance. This also meant trying to up sell them other products. To make this worse the people we were told to try and sell more too were mostly pensioners. From day 1 that did not sit very well with my principles. The company i worked for is a well known over 50′s company that also does over 50′s holidays, lets just say i found it all a bit of a Saga, hint hint.

I lasted in that job for just over 2 years, it made me so depressed that in the end i had to go to the doctor and he signed me off sick for 2 months. In that 2 month period i found a work at home job with a company called teletech, and one of their customers was Sky tv. I was trained and worked as a telephone technical support agent for Sky’s broadband customers, please don’t wander off, i promise i will get to the bit about working online very soon.

After my bad experience with the over 50′s company, see i told you it was a bit of a Saga, i found that working on the phone for teletech was just too similar to that job and i soon started to feel the stress and depression build up again. I parted company with teletech in January 2009. After that experience I was determined about 2 facts.

1 I was never ever going to take a job that i knew i would not like doing

2 I was not going to take a low paid job where i struggled from pay check to pay check

3 working for someone else was never going to make me wealthy

I know, you don’t have to tell me, yes that’s actually 3 facts, but its my blog so i can change things when i feel like it, this is going to look so silly if i am the only one that ever reads this lol.

So where was i?, oh yes i had just left teletech. Right, i knew i had to make some money somehow. A few years ago, well 4 to be exact, i had a fairly good business i had built up on ebay. Unfortunately i was also working full time and there were complications with the ebay business which is a completely different story that i will tell you about one day when you are bored. I had always believed there was money to be made on the internet, but the question was how?

I started making a few pounds per day by producing reviews on certain items and it was making me roughly about $80 – $90 per month. Not a fortune i grant you, but it was free money online and i had begun to work from home and earn money online. It was whilst i was doing the reviews that i stumbled across 2 other ways to make money online. This meant i had 3 different sources in which to earn money online, whilst i was working from home. In other words i had 3 streams of income. That’s when it suddenly dropped into place how some people make a good living online. The key is to have multiple streams of income which together will add up to a substantial income.

Using Cash Back Sites

Most people have probably heard r know about cash back sites. If you have not heard about cash back sites, what they are , are sites that you register with and the cashback site you join will have some form of partnership with other retail sites and businesses.

The cash back site will have links from their site to the retailers site and if you use the cash back sites link to the retailers site, and you then purchase something from that site you actually gat cash back on your purchase.

How much you actuallt get back is dependent on the arrangement the cash back site has with that particuler retailer or business. It may be a percentage of the price you pay for the item, or it may be a set percentage for anything you purchase.

How cash back sites are able to do this is that the retailer or business you that you purchase from after linking to them via the cash back site, the retailer pays the cash back site a commision.

Some cash back sites will give you a percentage of the commision they get and others will give you the full 100% of the commision they receive from the retailer. The thing is though that what some people do not know is that you can make daily money on cash back sites without making a purchase and some of these cash back sites will pay you just for registering with them.
